Fasto Factory Obtains IATF 16949:2016 Certification for Screw Manufacturing & Coating
We are happy to say that Fastos manufacturing facility has been given the IATF 16949:2016 quality management system certificate by Quality Austria Certification GmbH.
The certificate is for the manufacturing and coating of screws. It means we follow the IATF 16949:2016 rules, except for product design activities. This shows that Fastos production and surface treatment workflows meet the high quality standards of the automotive supply chain.
IATF 16949 is the international technical specification for automotive quality management systems, developed by the International Automotive Task Force. It is the standard for quality management. The standard establishes requirements for defect prevention, variation reduction, waste control, and process consistency — the core disciplines of automotive quality management. Getting this certificate is a step for Fasto. It shows we are committed to giving OEMs and tier suppliers reliable fastener solutions.
Our factory was audited by Quality Austria. The audit covered all core processes, including incoming material inspection, cold forming, thread rolling, heat treatment, surface coating, finished product testing, and full lot traceability management. All non-conformities identified during the audit were closed, ensuring full compliance with IATF's criteria.
For our customers this is good news. It means we have production systems that can meet the specs required for automotive fasteners. We keep track of all our batches we always look for ways to improve. We have strong quality control to minimize risks.
